M2.01 - NXP "El Mandadero"
El Mandadero, an autonomous delivery rover.
Sponsor: Iain Galloway
Student Team: Justin Vaughn, Christopher Cameron, Kaitlyn Ramirez, Caitlyn Landers, Taylor Sekula
Faculty Advisor: Mr. Mark Summers
El Mandadero is a last mile delivery rover that provides the customer a physical modular payload R&D platform and associated reference NXP circuit boards which allows them to experiment with the hardware and software while using a representative robotic system. Our team will be advancing selected physical subsystems of El Mandadero with efficient designs resulting from collected test data, while simultaneously creating a practical manufacturing method of each component. The undertaking of this proposition will include but is not limited to the construction of suspension components, jig/fixture design for part manufacturing, documentation for digital end user assembly guide, and performing limited NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness) testing to determine recommendations for improvements.
