ISoE Makerspace offers the latest in manufacturing and prototyping technology in a hands-on environment to give Texas State University students, teachers and staff the opportunity to create or prototype whatever comes to mind.

Dec. 6: 8am-12pm (Senior Design Day)

Dec. 9-13: Normal operating hours

Dec. 16-20: Closed, equipment available by appointment only

Dec. 21-Jan. 5: Closed under all circumstances

Jan. 6-10: Closed, equipment available by appointment only

Jan. 13-17: Normal operating hours

Jan. 20: Closed (MLK Day)

Jan. 21+: Normal operating hours


Rapid Prototyping Makerspace

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

All type of projects welcome.

Industrial Makerspace

Monday - Thursday, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Industrial makerspace includes wood shop & welding bay.

Projects limited to:

  • Engineering coursework (including senior design courses)
  • Faculty led research (Faculty approval required prior to use)
  • Engineering student organizations.

Facilities and Equipment

The Ingram Hall Makerspace is an 11,000 sqft facility comprised of 4 different zones including Rapid Prototyping, Industrial, Welding, and Wood working. The Rapid Prototyping space offers many 3D printers, lasers, and small form factor CNC mills while the Industrial Makerspace offers up more industrial sized and capable equipment. The Makerspace also offers other equipment such as a PCB maker and an assortment of tools for any project. Attached are 5 teaching labs including Senior Design Fabrication, CIM/Instrumentation, Composites and Advanced Additive Manufacturing!
